Intxausti returns

Beñat Intxausti will return to competition on Friday in the Vuelta a Asturias after a prolonged stay on the sidelines.

The Movistar ace was ruled out of the Vuelta al País Vasco earlier this month after coming down with flu-like symptoms, and hasn't competed since the conclusion of the Tirreno-Adriatico on the 13th of March. The former Euskaltel prodigy will hope for a change in fortune for the remainder of the season though, having only 13 race days in his legs thus far in 2012. He started his season with a 91st-place finish in the Trofeo Deía in February, before going on to finish 38th in Andalucía and 34th in Tirreno.

Movistar team for Vuelta a Asturias: Marzio Bruseghin, David López, José Iván Gutiérrez, Enrique Sanz, Ignatas Konovalovas, Jesús Herrada and last year's winner, Javier Moreno.

You sure know how to make intriguing headlines; for a second there I thought he was coming back to Euskaltel!

Haha, I know!

Me too... But then came second thought, the fact you can not sign to a team which it is uncertain to exist in 2013...
